Most tutors sat their GCSEs years, sometimes decades, ago. Scholars Kent is different.
Your hard work. Your determination. Your success.
- The Scholars Kent approach
Scholars Kent is run by an A Level student who moved through the current GCSE specifications recently enough to know exactly where students lose marks, and exactly how to get them back. That closeness to the exam room matters: the specification, the exam boards, and the way papers are marked change more often than people expect, and a tutor who sat the exams within the last couple of years is working from first-hand, current experience rather than a memory of how things used to be marked.
Being closer in age also changes the tutoring itself. Sessions feel less like being lectured and more like working through a problem with someone who remembers exactly what it felt like to be stuck on it. Students tend to ask more questions, admit what they don't understand sooner, and stay more engaged over a full session.
Every student's sessions are built around their own exam board, their own current grade, and their own target grade, then paced to close specific gaps rather than re-teaching an entire course from scratch.
